Tender Hopes Crisis Center is striving to make a difference in the lives of teenage girls who have been raped or whose safety has been compromised. We want to tell their stories.
Exactly one year ago we were loading a container to take to Ghana Africa. We had collected food, Days for Girls, computers from American Schools, and donated cloth diapers.
We are currently helping 11 girls with educational training! We feel this is a great achievement! We currently feed these girls and their baby’s one meal every day. It doesn’t sound like much but it is taking all the current incoming monthly donations to do this small act of kindness
We have connections with a travel agent that works with humanitarian groups and they allow for an extra bag per person. This would allow us to get the cloth diapers to Ghana via air transportation rather than trying to ship them to Ghana.
In the future we are hoping to have a page up on our web site that people can pair up with a girl to sponsor. It’s coming!
